Thank you for your interest in live music!
Though the title of this site and my Facebook page is Fort Collins Live Music, I am covering northern Colorado and quite a lot of Wyoming. I am keeping the focus on local bands playing locally. Primarily focused on the bands themselves, I know that bands are nothing without great venues and adoring fans so I will not neglect those aspects. I will occasionally mention a festival further afield, such as Austin's South by SouthWest or the Ozark, Arkansas Wakarusa Festival for the benefit of the bands who are looking to expand their playing fields. I will also mention bands who are looking to venture into our area or have roots here and come to visit us. However, my passion is locally focused and will remain so.
The purpose of this site is to provide links, not recommendations. The links take you to their FB Business Page unless they don't have one. Then it's their FB Personal Page (which is really a bad idea for promotional purposes), their FB Group (which I can't join or get updates from with my Business Page), their ReverbNation or other music sharing site, or their own Web Page. I have been trying to draw back and become more FB centered as I cover more bands, venues, and cities.
FB keeps changing (ah the nature of life) and it is very easy to share FB events. But you have to make them. You can add other pages as co-hosts to help expand your reach and cut down on the confusion of multiple events for the same gig or even cross bookings! Add the Venue involved, any other pages you admin or other bands projects you have going, and also feel free to add FORT COLLINS LIVE MUSIC. And be sure to mark it as a MUSIC EVENT so it comes up on searches.
My goal with the FB Page is to share more real time news and info. I don't routinely follow bands with more than about 2k FB followers nor do I keep up with the larger venues such as the Mish, Hodi's, Aggie, Avo's, etc. I will occasionally share their weekly schedule links, or shows that include some of the bands I follow, but as they have an advertising budget and what I am doing is free, I don't like to drown out the smaller bands and venues in the area.
Please join us on the Facebook page for some real time chitting and chatting, more info and schedules, and places to advertise lessons, replace band members, and do other musically live stuff! I also share posts from other local businesses offering things that are or can be associated with musical efforts such as IT training classes, open auditions at local theater companies, design your own tee shirts and other promotional goodies, fundraisers with bands or benefiting people musically like instruments for kids, and all sorts of things. And of course musically themed sayings, quotations, pictures, etc!

Would you like to be linked here?
All I ask is that you make things easier for me by making sure events are complete and easy to find. They should have an actual physical location, start and end times, and any notes about other acts/activities, age restrictions, cover charges, etc. I am based out of Facebook so if you have a Facebook Business Page, that will be perfect You can embed a Google, Reverbnation, or other such calendar so you don't have to make events a gazillion times over. If you would like to send me pics to use on my Facebook and Web page you can send them in a message to my FB Page. I don't like to just take them from your page because I have often found that there are old pics that do not represent the band anymore and I want you properly represented!
I would also greatly appreciate it if you would cruise by my Facebook page every so often to LIKE or COMMENT to keep you fresh in my mind and also activate the Facebook algorithms so I continue to get updates from you, and you from me.
